Celebrating heritage, honouring achievers, and inspiring generations

The World Heritage Week Celebration 2025 commenced with a vibrant and inspiring inauguration at the Folkland Centre, Payyannur on 19th November 2025. The programme was jointly organized by Folkland and INTACH, with the CSR support of Dorf Ketal Chemicals India Pvt. Ltd. The event opened with a welcome address by K. Sureshan, followed by the presidential address of Dr. V. Jayarajan, Chairman of Folkland. The inauguration was carried out by Padma Shri S.R.D. Prasad Gurukkal, setting an enthusiastic tone for the weeklong celebrations. A special highlight of the ceremony was the honoring of Prof. A.M. Sreedharan for his prestigious appointment as Advisor to UPSC, a proud moment for the academic and cultural community. Rachana Narayanan Kutty, eminent dancer and cine-serial artist, was also honored for her valuable contributions to the cultural field. Felicitation speeches were delivered by Adv. P.V. Hareesh Co convener of INTACH, Kasaragod Chapter and Eminent Mural painter Mr.K.R. Babu appreciated the efforts and achievements of the distinguished guests. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Theatre Artist Mrs Uma Devi expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, and supporters.
