As part of Pavizholsav – the 35th Anniversary Celebrations of Folkland International Centre for Folklore and Culture, a three-day Chhau Festival was organized from 10th to 12th October 2025 at Madayi, Cheemeni, and Sargalaya, Vadakara, marking the UNESCO International Day of Intangible Cultural Heritage. The event, held in association with Banglanatak dot com, IMACO, ICCN, AXIS BANK Foundation, and with the CSR support of Dorf Ketal Chemicals India, featured spectacular performances of Seraikella, Mayurbhanj, and Purulia Chhau traditions. With grand inaugurations, vibrant workshops, and mesmerizing performances, the festival celebrated India’s living heritage and reinforced Folkland’s mission of preserving and promoting intangible cultural traditions.
