Folkfest-2026 ( SECOND EDITION)

Folkland International Centre for Folklore and Culture, in association with Onattukara Sahithi and with CSR support from Dorf Ketal Chemicals India Pvt. Ltd., organized a Folk Fest (Second Edition) on 27 May 2026 at Mavelikkara, Kerala, India. The festival was conceived as a platform for the presentation, preservation, and revitalization of rare folk traditions that are increasingly endangered, bringing together traditional artists, scholars, and cultural enthusiasts to celebrate and safeguard India's rich intangible cultural heritage. The festival featured captivating performances of Mudiyattam, Maramudiyattam, and Nadan Pattu (traditional folk songs), showcasing the artistic diversity and cultural significance of Kerala's living folk traditions.
