Fusion of Rhythms

Folkland hosted a vibrant dance workshop titled 'A Fusion of Rhythms' at Tharakam, Thalichalam, jointly organized with ICCN and supported by Dorf Ketal. The event celebrated cross-cultural exchange by blending international and local dance traditions. Brazilian dancer Camila Leal Rosa showcased styles like Samba, Forró, Pagode, Carimbó, and Capoeira, drawing parallels with Indian forms such as Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, and Thiruvathirakali. The workshop also featured Bharatanatyam dancer Divya Jagadish, Mridangam artist Jagadish Janardhanan, and dancers Shifali Ravindran, Shivani, Anaghananda, Devika, Najmul Husna, and Parvathy Sunil. It served as a powerful platform for cultural dialogue, artistic learning, and mutual appreciation of global dance heritage.
