Ottanthullal Awareness and Performance Programme

As part of its heritage education initiative, Folkland – International Centre for Folklore and Culture, in association with INTACH Kasaragod Chapter and with the support of Dorf Ketal Chemicals India, organized an Ottanthullal Awareness and Performance Programme for the students of Government Higher Secondary School, Patla, on 24 July 2026. The programme introduced students to the rich tradition of Ottanthullal, one of Kerala's renowned classical narrative art forms. The highlight of the event was a captivating performance of "Kalyana Saugandhikam" by eminent Ottanthullal artist Shri. Karivellur Ratnakumar, whose expressive narration, graceful movements, and vibrant presentation enthralled the audience. The programme provided students with a valuable opportunity to experience Kerala's rich cultural heritage firsthand and enhanced their appreciation of its traditional performing arts.
