On the evening of January 6th, a captivating Tholpavakoothu (shadow puppetry) performance marked the start of the program. Led by Pushpalatha, wife of renowned puppeteer Viswanatha Pulavar, the team presented a Ramayana-based narrative that mesmerized the audience, especially the school children. The performance offered a rare glimpse into this fading traditional art form. Following the event, Ms. Uma Preman, Managing Director of the school and noted social reformer, honored Pushpalatha with a ceremonial shawl in recognition of her contribution to cultural preservation.
