Thampuran Pattu, an ancient ritualistic art form rooted in Kerala’s spiritual traditions, once held a vital place in temple ceremonies and community life across Kerala and Tamil Nadu. As its prominence declined over time, renewed efforts are being made to revive and preserve it. A key initiative was the Thampuran Pattu Workshop and Seminar, held on 3rd and 4th August 2024 at Vyloppilli Samskrithi Bhavan. Jointly organized by Folkland International Centre for Folklore and Culture, IGNCA Thrissur Regional Centre, and KCHR, the event brought together artists, scholars, and enthusiasts to explore and celebrate this unique heritage.
