Thankasmrithi

The seventh death anniversary of Thankam Amma, a key figure in the Khadi movement and cultural circles, was commemorated through THANKASMRITHI at Tharakam, Thalichalam, Thrikaripur. The event featured artistic performances and honored renowned artists. Kasaragod District Panchayath President Smt. Baby Balakrishnan inaugurated the function, presided over by V.K. Ravindran. The Thankam Award was presented to Kathakali artist T.T. Krishnan. Poet Madhavan Puracheri delivered the memorial lecture. Several Poorakkali, Marathukali, and folk artists, along with friends of Thankam Amma, were also honored. The evening concluded with Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, and musical performances.
